Ondu karimani huLu itthu. 

Aadya - Enna muddu baby neenu. Enna karimani babyyyy... Hashu aata? Oota thatthe. 

(Aadya oota thaple hogi bappaga, karimani huLu allinda hogi aayidu)

Aadya - (kooguva swaralli) ayyo! Enna baby kaaNe aayidu. Aanu enta maadudu eega? Enna karimani babyyyyy......ellidde puttuuuuu?

Ani - Akka, aanu police. Huduki kodte ninna baby ya. Enna scooter li kooru, baa. Alli ondu mall iddu. Baby allige hoyida heli noduva.

(Aadya and Ani scooter li adike dryer hathra hogi, scooter park maadi iLudavu. Karimani huLu Alli hovuttaa itthu)

Aadya - yaaayyyy! Neenu illidya muddu? Aanu ninna eshtu hidukkide! Enage bejaara aagitthu Enna baby kaaNe aaddakke! Innu Enna bittikki elligoo hopalaaga! Thank you police hudki kottaddakke.

Ani - welcome.

Aadya was going on beating and pinching Ani. I scolded her a few times and she continued doing that. I asked her, "why do you feel like hurting him?"

Aadya - thamma cute cute idda. Hangagi boobu maadekku heli appadu.

After 10 minutes, I saw Ani stamping aadya. I scolded Ani, "enthake akkange mettudu neenu? Pettu beka?"

Ani - Akka cute cute iddu. Hangagi.

Pavithra's atthe asked aadya to tell her a story.

Aadya - ondoorili ondu ajji itthada. Adra thale koodalella biliiiii aathada. Ambaga aaro adarathra helidavada. Dinaaa thalege enne haakidre, koodalu bili aavuttille heli. Matthe ajji dinaaa enne haakule suru maaditthada. Chooru dina appaga koodalella black aathada. Ambaga obba chandada maaNi bandu neenu Enna maduve aavuttheya heli kelidanada. Matthe avvibru maduve aagi khushiiiiiiiiiili itthiddavada.

Constant reminders that Ani is Anna's sodaraLiya :

1. We went to Mangalore for vaccination on 6th. We had told him that we would be going by bus and we got a car to go later. From uppala till Mangalore, Aniket cried that we should get down from car and get into a bus. While coming back, we got into a bus and he got a seat to sit. From pumpwell bus got very rush, he had to sit on lap. He cried from pumpwell till hosangadi that he wants to sit on a seat. Finally atthe stood up and made him sit on her seat. People were staring at us for the stupidity. 

2. We made halsinakayi sonte today. Ani ate a plate full and asked "innude 2 beku". When I gave some more, he cried to such an extent that he was unable to speak. We all checked his finger if he bit it, checked his mouth, kept asking what happened. He was not being able to explain. After crying a lot, finally he said word by word, with great difficulty, "aanu 2 sonte keliddu. Neenu yaake thumba haakiddu?". I removed all the sonte from his plate, counted and put just 2. Immediately he wiped his eyes, sat quietly and ate.

Today in gudde, Ani dug mud and kept his toes inside it, covered it with mud and screamed that his leg is missing. So he took a mobile phone (dry leaf) and called aadya doctor. Aadya went in an ambulance (wee woo wee woo sound in mouth) to Ani's rescue, brought him to her hospital, gave him medication and dropped him back to his house by ambulance. Once that is done, Ani announced that he will be ambulance driver from now on. Then for next one hour, Ani picked patients from all sides of the gudde with "wee woo wee woo" siren, dropped them at aadya doctor's hospital, waited till medication is done, dropped them back home. I was the audience and now even after an hour, I can still hear "wee woo wee woo" sound!

There was a mane okkalu kagada here. Aadya took it and said to herself, "oh! Ondu upanayanada kagada baindu!" Then looked at the vivekananda stamp on top of the invitation cover, came to me and said "Amma, ida ivangida naadudu upanayana. Upanayana da maaniya photo haakiddavu idarli".

Indu beliggeye makko bombe vishaya hidudu jagla suru maadidavu. Aanu bisi bele bath matthu idli maadikondu itthidde. Jagla bidsule hogi late aathu, ivusa 'ninnandaagi jagla aaddu' heli parenchidavu. 7.20 kke lunch box, breakfast box eradusa ready aagadde bittu hodavu. Aanu 'aanu saaythe' helide, matthe 'raamaa...raamaa... raamaa' helikondu koogikondu koothe ennashtakke. Ani enna nodikondu itthidda. Matthe 2 nimisha bittu, ennathra banda.

Ani - Amma.. Raama enu innude baidanille neenu eshtu dinigeliroo? Avange keliddilleyaali! Matthe......neenu saaythare, enage idli kotta mele saayekku, aatha? Illaddare matthe enage hashu aagikondeeeeee ikkanne!?

Monne udiyappaga Aniket bega edda heli Amma avana Enna appana hathra manushi adige maadle hothada. Aniket appanathra "ajja udiya aagi soorya barekkashte. Hangagi brown kaanthu ningala" helidanada. Rajja hotthu kaludu, "eega soorya banthu. Innude ningo brown e iddi ambaga" helidanada. 

A few times when we were travelling by car, I had put on Google maps in my phone, and Ani liked to see the car do moving on the road. And now wherever we go, he takes a small book with him, on the way every now and then he points at his book, shows it to me and says, "Amma, idaaa naavu eega illige etthittida! O..... Illige etthuvaga left nge thirugekku. Idaaaa... Illi road red thorsutthu, thumba traffic iddu!"

Ani - Amma, naavu Alli metten tedd nge hopa

Me - ellige?

Ani - Alli metten tedd ge

Me - adentadu? Elli iddu?

Ani - monne appange, ammange, akkange, enage Ella angi thegaddalla Alli?

Me - "unlimited"!

Ani - Alli metten tedd

Me - "un-li-mi-ted" heLu

Ani - heliddalla? Eshtu sarthi heludu? Alli metten tedd!!!!

Thumba dinanda "dishpong dishpong" padya helu heltaa ittidda. Thumba sarthi kelittidde aanu adu Elli keliddu neenu? Haangippa padya gontille enage heli. Adu car li bappadu helida. Aanu FM radio lli enthaadru keliddu aadikku heli greshittidde. 

Indu car li engo hopaga pendrive na playlist nda sanskrit shloka "gadhisthvam gadhisthvam thvamekaapahaari" banthu. Ani ge sudden aagi khushiyo khushi. "Adaaa, aanu monnendave heliddallda 'dishpong diahpong' padya? Banthada eega, sari kelu Amma. Dishpong dishpong padya iduve!

Naayigo boggi and bogga aadikondu itthiddavu anglalli. Aadya adranne 5 nimisha baayi bittu noditthu. 

Aadya sudden aagi "Amma amma,.... Naayigo yaava aata aadtaa ippadu heli enage gontaatu"

Me - Appa? Yaava aata?

Aadya- averadude ottinge shaalege hopadu, Alli teacher aata aadudu. Ambaga teacher baravale helikotta haange avu nelalli baravadu. Ada nodu avu baravadu

(Aanu noduvaga naayigo nela okkuttaa itthiddavu)

Aadya - kandattha avu baravadu? Adaa... Eega clap-clap aata. Nodu.

(Noduvaga naayigo kaili ondra mele ondu haari ladayi maadikondu ittiddavu)

Aadya - nodideya? Adaa.. eega shaale aatu, manege battaa iddavu ottinge.

Ani - (holding a tiny car and pointing to its door) amma, open this door.

Me - no no, we can't open that door

Ani - amma....... open it

Me - no Ani, we can't open that door 

Ani - remove it, remove it

Me - it's not removable Ani....

Ani - ammmmaaaaaaa..... remmmmmove it

Me - no

Ani - you can do it amma, try.

Me - (trying to act as if I was pulling it hard and it is not coming) see, can't remove it (and it breaks and comes in my hand )!!!

Ani - See, I told you, you did it!!! 

(I escape to kitchen and after 2 minutes when he realizes)

Ani - (all of a sudden) AMMA!!!!!!! What did you do???? Now put it back to the car.

I come out smiling with a gum tape in one hand and all-fix glue with the other!

Ani stayed away from Amma for the first time on April 2, 2017 since amma joined back to work and kids classes are yet to begin in June.
