So finally, the curiosity has come to an end!
I had an appointment today and I had not slept well last night. The past one week went terribly slow and I felt like taking the clock and turn its hands! It felt like a whole month and I was desperately waiting for today! Because I am going to know if you are my little angel or my little hero! I waited for your dad to come home from office and the appointment was at 4 p.m. I called him several times and told him to come early, got myself ready for hospital visit at 2 p.m. itself.
Your kicks these days are not really that soft, you literally shake my tummy at times when you are full after lunch or when your mom is relaxing! I do feel extremely nice about your hard kicks and I kept telling you since past few days to show all your kicking talents when the ultrasound is going on. So that I can even see you kick and even your dad! Because your dad is missing the kicks!
We were at hospital at 3.40 p.m and they called us to the ultrasound room only at 4.10! You can never imagine how slow the time passed, I was continuously talking to your dad for those 30 minutes out of excitement! And all these 30 minutes, even you were kicking me really hard and I kept reminding you through out to save your energy to kick when the ultrasound is being done! We finally got a chance to get in. But again you were not willing to tell us your gender so soon. The lady at ultrasound had to try shaking my tummy to make you change your position. You had slowed down the kicking speed, but she could not measure the length of your legs since you never kept them still even for a second! You weighed 11 ounces and made your parents proud! The ultrasound lady was trying hard to make you turn or spread your legs, you looked quite stubborn! She had to finally focus from under your butt and found out that you are a LITTLE BABY GIRL!!! Your dad and I looked at each others' face and both of us were unable to stop smiling! So there you are our tiny daughter!! We were really happy to know that and this time without me asking, your dad took me directly to Taco Bell from the hospital for a little treat!
Though I am very happy, I need to tell you how terrified you looked in ultrasound too! The previous few ultrasounds had shown us the cute little baby and you were getting chubbier every time and looked more and more like a cutie pie! Therefore I was expecting to see a even cuter baby this time. Doctor first focused on your spinal chord which was normal. Then your little legs and hands and little body - everything looked transparent this time. We could see the outline of your skin too! But when she focused on your face, I really had to struggle to get my heart beat back! You looked quite scary with the face of a skeleton! Two big holes in the place of your eyes! And your face looked separated from the rest of your body! The first thing I made sure from the doctor that you are normal. She said you are absolutely normal and as soon as we came home, I checked online for mid-pregnancy ultrasound pictures to check if all of them look like you. I was relieved when I noticed a few more skeleton faces!
It was exciting to tell everyone about your gender! And now I am waiting for my baby girl to grow soon and show your real cute face!
