Kids Stories 2021

We went to Subrahmanya temple today.

Kids started talking to me  while we were inside the temple.
I told them, "eega aanusa chamiya hathra maathaadthe, ningloo maathaadi. Naavu-naavu matthe maathadikomba".
Kids got busy talking to God after that.
When we came out, Ani - "amma.. aanu chamiya hathra 'how are you?' heli kelide. Hangeye alda mathadekkaaddu?"

Later, he tried talking again and told me, "aanu eshtu maatadidroo chami 'thathasthu' heliddu keliddille."

It's been online classes for you both since March 2020 due to Covid. Aadya didn't have her 1st standard Annual exam and Aniket didn't have his UKG graduation day ceremony. We missed seeing Ani wearing that tiny cute graduation dress and receiving the certificate on stage! Last year, Aadya had her graduation ceremony and Vijayajji had come all the way from Jogibettu to see her grand-daughter graduate from kindergarten.
Ani's Govindajja came all the way from Jogibettu to see Ani's annual day this year and ajja was happy to see Ani dance on the stage!

Soon after the suspension of school was announced in March 2020, appa took you both to Bekur to drop you there and with the plans to return to Bangalore after 2-3 days. Because appa had office still going on and I still had to go for paper valuation of ICSE board exams. But then when you all reached Bekur, even my valuation dates got postponed by 2 days. So I travelled home the same night by bus leaving everything at home (in Artha) as it was because the plan was to return with appa in another 2 days. Soon after I reached home with merely 2 pairs of dress, the lockdown was announced and I continued to stay there for the next 8 months!!! Meanwhile even Suhas bava had come to Bekur with the plan of staying there for a few days until Shreyas bava finishes his 10th grade board exams and comes with family to Bekur. But then, he too got stuck in Bekur for the next few months with us all while Shreyas bava and family continued to stay in Mumbai.

You have been having online classes all through this year as well. School allowed the grade 9 and 10 students to opt either for online or for offline classes this year since January, but it still continued to be online for lower grades. It became compulsory for me as a teacher to take offline classes for grade 10. So we all shifted back to Artha and now I take you both with me to school in colour dress, make you sit in an empty class room and you take online classes from school. Soumya ma'am's daughter Hima Priya also does the same. After your online class hours, you 3 play a lot in school, running everywhere, entire school being your own play area now with no other kids around.
